It’s important to always keep in mind that we don’t know how users will want to use a product in the future.
To that end, we mustn’t bake our perception of the future user’s business logic into products we develop, but must strive to allow the user to customise to suit.
(There are, of course, limits to this… you can’t customise a garden fork to make it act as a hedge trimmer!).
